About the Center for Racial and Social Justice
Drawing on the historical and spiritual foundation that established Shaw University, the purpose of the Center for Racial and Social Justice is to further the development of a more just and equitable society.
We will accomplish this through a variety of actions that may include but is not limited to: engaging in and producing scholarly research that may be used to inform the policies and actions of various public and private entities; hosting multiple types of convenings; disseminating our findings through diverse media sources and outlets; and generating as appropriate to the Center policy recommendations, curricula, academic and professional publications.
