Pastor Shirley Caesar: Celebrating Women’s History Month 2022

Pastor Shirley Caesar is a native to Durham, North Carolina, graduating from Shaw University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1984.  She has received honorary Doctorates from Shaw and Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. A world-renowned gospel singer, Shirley Caesar has released over forty albums. She has won 12 Grammy Awards (including The Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award), 14 Stellar Awards, 15 Dove Awards, 1 RIAA gold certification, an Essence Award, McDonald’s Golden Circle Lifetime Achievement Award, the NAACP Lifetime Achievement Award, SESAC Lifetime Achievement Award, Rhapsody & Rhythm Award from the National Museum of African American Music, as well as induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Selling over 2.2 million albums since 1991. Ms. Caesar is a woman who has certainly made history!
