Representative Rosa Gill: Celebrating Women’s History Month 2022

Representative Rosa Gill, a lifelong resident of Wake County, grew up in a family of thirteen siblings. She is a product of the Wake County Public School System and has served as a mathematics teacher at Garner High School and Enloe Magnet High School. In addition to her education career, Rosa is a retired state employee and also served as the Director of Traffic Records with the Division of Motor Vehicles. Gill earned her B.S. in Mathematics from Shaw University and went on to become elected to the Wake County School Board, where she served from 1999 to 2009. In 2009 Gill was appointed to a seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives. Gill has been re-elected to the seat a total of 6 times, most recently in 2020.
